The Rise of Mobile Search

 
The rise of the smartphone and tablet is changing the way people search for terms and websites on the internet. People can now search for things while they are on the move; from anywhere in the world there is Wi-Fi. It use to be all about desktops, people sitting at their desk at home or at the office, searching for holiday gift ideas or how to spell “succinct” correctly.  But now desktops are a thing of the past and mobile technology has changed the way we live life forever.
 
A report published by research firm eMarketer projects that as of 2015; mobile search company spending on PPC and SEO in the US is to surpass desktop search spending.
 
This rise and change of mobile search means that digital marketers also have to change their strategies and rise to the occasion. The rise of mobile search doesn’t hurt anyone it only increases the chances of your company or organization being searched throughout the day; and knowing that a high percentage of people are searching on their phones and tablets means that you have to now concentrate on marketing yourself from a mobile point of view.

Anything more than one second disrupts the users' flow of thought. According to Google, the average mobile page load speed today is over 7 seconds. The longer a page takes to load the higher the likeliness that that user will give up or move on.

A site's design and usability has a huge impact on user engagement and conversions, especially for mobile users who are viewing websites on a smaller screen. Providing information with an easy design that has big buttons, and search bar, and clear calls-to action will make a difference when it comes to a site's ability to keep users engaged.
 
4. Understand Mobile-User Intent
Understanding mobile user intent, conversational search queries, and voice search is essential to a successful mobile SEO strategy. SEO is all about knowing what the consumer is likely to search, so you have to keep the consumer intent in mind. What is it that the consumer wants? What is it that they are most likely to search?
